Filey Bay Porter Cask Special Release #1
This brand new special release from Spirit of Yorkshire is no surprise to be a best seller releasing on Good Friday 29th March 2024, the latest special limited release is sure to excite fans and collectors alike as only 2000 bottles were produced for this first batch release.
The ex-PX and ex-Bourbon casks chosen for this release were originally filled in the spring and autumn of 2017. Disgorged years later the whisky from the ex-PX casks formed the Sherry Cask Reserve #2 while the whisky from the ex-Bourbon casks was integrated into the Flagship System. From here they were then refilled with Wold Top Brewery's 'Marmalade Porter' and tucked away on the farm to now mature the beer.
Tasting Notes
Fruity and complex with flavours of orange chocolate, roasted malt, baked apples and candied fruits.

For this particular pick we had a very difficult time deciding which Lochlea to feature as all in the range are exceptional finishes worthy of a place, The Ploughing was the latest release from the range in early January boasts a limited release schedule, hand-selected to align with farming seasons and a selection for those that love the peaty finishes.

Glen Scotia Festival 2021 Bordeaux Red Wine 10 Year Old
With whisky festival season just around the corner, now is the time to bolster collections with a bottle from one of the most famous festivals special releases from 2021, the Glen Scotia 2021 Festival Release Bordeaux Red Wine Finish. Every year Glen Scotia release a limited edition to celebrate the festival.
This is the first year Glen Scotia has selected unpeated spirit for its festival bottling. Matured initially in first-fill bourbon barrels and then finished in Bordeaux red wine casks, this 10 year old whisky imbues fruit and spice characters. It couples nicely with the distillery's coastal character.
