Popular general whisky is bottled at most countries legal minimum for whisky of 40%, plus  some at 43% and 46% Abv bottlings.

Bottled at natural cask strength or at over 50%Abv. Whiskies selected for these pages includes classifications such as 100 proof, 105, 107 proof, barrel proof.  for those looking for a stronger whisky than the standard range.

Some counties have a legal requirement that the exact alcohol level is stated. As whisky can vary from barrel to barrel some distillers adjust the whisky to a particular strength, ie,; 100 proof (57% Abv)  to avoid having to adjust labels.
