Lowland Malt Whisky

Lowland Malt Whisky Region:
From the Scottish border to the old Highland line. These whiskies are regarded as the lighter almost floral malts.
Moving from East to West across the lowlands;
East Fife includes the new distilleries near to St Andrews of Kingsbarns and Daft Mill, stock maturing.
Close to Edinburgh there is Glenkinchie in East Lothian.
Along the Forth Clyde district where the now closed; Linlithgow (aka St Magdelane), Rosebank.
The Glaswegian closed distilleries of Glen Flagler, Killyloch, Kinclaith, West of the city Auchentoshan.(Open) Littlemill and Inverleven both now closed.
Down on the Ayeshire coast at Givan as well as the Grants grain distillery on site there is the new Ailsa Bay.
Finally along the South coast there is the New Annandale and the established Bladnoch.
