Colour: Pale amber. Without Water Nose: Rich, oily - polished leather and sherry wood. Lots of fruit character - fruitcake, figs and dates. Subtle smokiness on the edges. Palate: Smoky with rich, sherry wood flavours. Delicatefragrant notes with an earthy spicy character. With Water Nose: Burnt, fruity aromas combine with treacle and dark chocolate. Some nutty notes also present. The smoky character is never too far away. Palate: Rich, sherry wood with smoky - wood smoke flavours.Develops with more dried fruit and spices emerging. Body: Rich and mellow. Finish: Sherry with smoky edge. Cask Type: Refill sherry hogsheads.
