Nose: Sweet and aromatic, with light nutty notes.
Palate: Delicate, soft and fruity with a hint of almonds.
Finish: Smooth, toffee and creamy notes, becoming dryer.
Knockando Distillery History.
John Tytler Thomson established the Knockando distillery in 1898.
On the lands of Cnoc-an-dhu, gaelic for small black hillock, between the villages of Knockando and Archiestown.
The distillery built to take advantage of the Cardnach spring water. Which is described as of a particularly high quality for whisky production.
