Littlemill 1991 Rare Old Single Malt Whisky
This increasingly rare whisky from the closed and dismantled distillery of Littlemill is part of Gordon & MacPhail’s
Rare Old Collection . Distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2015.
Littlemill, established in 1772, lies on the border between the Highland and Lowland regions. Although it is classed as Lowland due to its use of triple distillation.
Closed in 1993, there were plans to re-build Littlemill into a tourist attraction with new houses and luxury flats as well as projects to turn the distillery into a museum.
In 1996 these ideas abandoned. The equipment dismantled and part of the distillery demolished.
Finally on 4th September 2004 the main buildings were destroyed by fire. Leading to the distillery being completely demolished in 2006.
