Bowmore Feis Ile 2016 Single Malt Whisky
This Bowmore Feis Ile 2016 Single Malt Whisky was bottled exclusively for the 2016 Islay Whisky Festival.
A Limited Edition of only 1500 hand numbered bottles and signed by David Turner the Distillery Manager.
Matured in a selection of four American Virgin Oak barrels and a 1st fill Oloroso Sherry butt which were then re-racked and married together in original oak.
Bowmore Feis Ile 2016 Single Malt Whisky Tasting Notes :-
Colour : Burnished sienna.
Nose : A fusion of spice, blood orange smoke and creme-brulee.
Palate : An explosion of mocha coffee with Tapas from beach barbeque.
Finish : Lingering with smoked maple and chocolate-coated Brazil nut toffee.
In conclusion this is a Rich and spicy, peaty whisky

Wood encased, Copper Domed Stainless Steel Mash Tun.

Feis Ile is the Islay Festival.
The Festival is held in the last week of May every year.
A diverse program featuring traditional music, ceilidhs, Gaelic lessons, golf, bowling and whisky tasting. All the Islay distilleries have open days during the week.
