Brora 14th Release 37 year old Distillery Tasting Notes :-
Nose : Cautious and smooth, with smoky fresh-lit fire soon balanced by scented candlewax, dry fragrant herbs and sultana cake, which sweetens into toasted coconut, honey and lemon zest.
Palate : Powerful, syrupy-smooth and sweet at first. Then spicy and drying. Fresh flavours of cocoa and dark chocolat,e orange zest and honeycomb rise above background wood smoke and ripe red berries.
Finish : long, warming and spicy, with more dark chocolate and smooth tannins, leaving a minty, fragrant aftertaste.
If a chocolatier made whisky it would surely taste like this.
