Brora 30 year old 9th Release 2010
A very rare Brora 30 year old 9th Release bottled at natural cask strength in 2010.
Limited Edition of only 3000 individually numbered bottles
Original built as the Clynelish (cline-leash) distillery, founded in 1819 by the Marquis of Stafford. The Distillery changed its name to Brora (bro-rah) after a new distillery was built in 1968 next door.
The new distillery became the present Clynelish.
The modern Clynelish produces a coastal maritime whisky.
The old, now closed, Brora Distillery produced a smokey peaty style of malt whisky.
Because the Brora is now a closed distillery bottles are now very rare.
Diageo announced in 2017 plans to re-open Brora , but bottlings from this era will remain extremely rare.
