Meaning ‘Smoky Two’ in Scots Gaelic, Toiteach A Dhà (pronounced Toch-ach ah-ghaa) is the second release after Bunnahabhain Tioteach. While Bunnahabhain Tioteach A Dha has much more Sherry influence.

Dr Kirstie McCallum selected a combination of ex Bourbon and Sherry casks which were then matured in full, in the coastal warehouses on Bunnahabhain Bay.

Bunnahabhain Tioteach A Dha Tasting Notes :-

Colour : Light Amber Gold

Nose   : Intriguing peatiness with hints of sherry and rich oak.

Palate : Immediate warming peatiness drift to a sweet Oloroso sherry influence with rich oak, balanced with delicate pepper.

Finish : Robust length for the discerning palate.

In conclusion this is a Rich, Spicy, Peaty Whisky

Bunnahabhain Distillery History.

The distillery is the most northerly distillery on the island, facing The Isle of Jura across the Sound of Islay.
Established by the Greenlees Brothers, local farmers, in 1881.
The distillery went into production in 1883 under the trading name of The Islay Distillery Company.
During 1887  The Islay Distillery Company amalgamated with Glenrothes – Glenlivit to form the Highland Distilleries Co.
