Dallas Dhu Single Malt Whisky Distillery closed in 1983, it was sold to Historic Scotland and is now a museum.
Distilled at Dallas Dhu Distillery in 1970 and bottled in 2002 by The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. Ltd. under the Coopers Choice range .
Dallas Dhu Whisky Distillery Style Tasting Notes:
Nose : Freshly baked biscuits.
Palate : A beautifully complex whisky with barley sugar sweetness, honey, butterscotch, dried fruits and a rich velvety chocolate note.
Finish : Barley, butterscotch, rich chocolate.
Closed in 1982 by its owners at the time United Distillers, today’s Diageo, Dallas Dhu has fared much better than many other closed distilleries and in 1988 reopened as living museum, which displays the entire whisky production process, by Scotland’s Historic Buildings and Monuments Directorate.
The visitor centre includes a shop, picnic area and refreshments.
