Deanston Virgin Oak Single Malt Whisky.
Initially matured in the traditional ex bourbon casks produced by a small cooperage from Bardstown, Kentucky.
The whisky is then finished in virgin oak casks, that imply subtle spicy aromas.
Deanston Virgin Oak Single Malt Whisky Tasting Notes;
Nose; from the virgin oak there is a citrus lemon zest combined with sweet barley sugar, this is followed by notes of apple and nutmeg.
Palate; a sweet memory of candied fruits, vanilla toffee balanced with heather honey.
Finish; A satisfying light spice with a rewarding burst of honeyed malt and sweet oakiness.
