English Whisky “Lest We Forget” Tasting Notes from the Distillery :-
Nose : Sweet raisins, warm vanilla and slightly spicy. Hints of bread and butter pudding and caramelised sugar. Also a slight savoury and earthy background note.
Palate : Initially dry, then sweet, spicy (think white pepper), malty and oaky. Again the savoury, earthy notes come through. Slight touch of anise along with lovely warm vanilla, just like a vanilla sponge fresh from the oven.
Finish : Long with a dry kickback at the end.
