This Limited Edition of Highland Park St Magnus Single Malt Whisky is the second edition of the Magnus series. While the first release has Magnus as an Earl, in this edition he has become a saint.
Quality wood case with brass fittings. The single malt whisky is in a replica bottle circa 1870. Advance techniques used to replicate the air bubbles and colour consistency in the glass.
Carefully selected casks of Highland Park 12 year old used.
Issued to celebrate Saint Magnus Erlendsson, Earl of Orkney, sometimes known as Magnus the Martyr, was Earl of Orkney from 1106 to about 1115. Saint Magnus murdered by his treacherous cousin, Haakon. Featured in Orkneyinga Saga.
The St Magus name is dedicated to Britain’s most northerly cathedral. Started in 1137 by his nephew Earl Rognvald as a final resting place for Saint Magnus remains.
