Mezan Worthy Park Jamaican Rum
Mezan Worthy Park Jamaican Rum is a single distillery rum. A working sugar estate since 1720, the Clarke Family acquired the Estate in 1918 and it has remained privately owned and managed since; the new distillery being completed in 2005.
At Worthy Park the rum is all produced from molasses and double distilled in a Forsyth’s copper pot still.
Mezan Worthy Park Jamaican Rum tasting notes :-
Starting with light spicy banana loaf, moving on to grassy lemon and finishing with delicate tropical honey on the nose.
Balanced flavour with some higher estery hints and a light sweetness at the finish.
Searches out the finest of Caribbean rums from distilleries old and new. On discovery of a particular rum the Mezan Cellar master puts it aside for maturation in ex-bourbon oak casks until it reaches its potential. As each cask reaches this level of maturity.
