Talisker Distillers Edition Amoroso Finish 2005 Tasting Notes :-

A wonderfully rounded and luscious, fruity sweetness that perfectly complements the crisp, dry peat-smoke and familiar pepperiness of Talisker.

After its usual aging process in American oak casks, the whisky undergoes a second maturation in casks previously holding sherry. The result is older, sweeter and richer than the regular bottlings.

“Crisp peat at first then softens to enormous richness in the mouth. There’s sweet, roasty malt with a heathery dryness. The sherry notes keep back some of the usual Talisker pepperiness. In its place is luscious, slightly oily sweetness – with ripe, juicy fruit and vanilla”. Donald John McEwen Process Operator.
